What is equine coaching?

With equine coaching, we support and guide people in their personal development process.

• We guide people from their inner process without judgement or personal opinion
 • This allows you to discover (in a safe environment) what is needed to work on your personal development theme
 • We no longer believe in terms of right or wrong, but in: “that which wants to become conscious in order to grow”

Coaching with horses can help by bringing thinking and feeling more into balance.
We believe that the answers you are looking for are already within you, we simply help you gain insight.

And we do this with the help of our four-legged colleagues, the horses.

Horses have the natural gift of being able to screen people from head to toe… They see us as a “whole”.
Horses are instinctively flight animals, which means they're constantly alert to their surroundings. When we coach with a horse and want to work on a personal issue, the horse will help us by responding to our current state.

• Horses are masters of “awareness”
 • They have no judgement and hidden agenda
 • Horses can't lie
 • They don't care what your personal status is

Horses seek safety: they ask us to take a place or a standpoint. In doing so, they give us a response, inviting us to self-reflect and "see" ourselves.

What thoughts are at play? What are our feelings about this? What is our perspective on our topic?

Each horse will react differently, because each horse is unique. This reaction allows them to guide us (as humans) deeper into ourselves, often creating a magical moment. Horses complement each other and seem to complement us as humans as well.

Do I need to have experience with horses for a coaching session?

No, you do not need any experience with horses for a coaching session.
Even if you have never come into contact with horses, you can perfectly follow an equine coaching session.
Everything always happens in a safe environment and together with your coach.

How does a coaching session proceed?

Accepted Answer

The coach will invite you to carry out an activity related to your personal development theme.
This could be something very simple like:
Depict your theme with horses. The activity is always tailored to your theme.

By performing this activity, an interactive dynamic will be created between you and the horse in which there is a mutual response.
When something changes in us as humans, the horse will react to this, allowing us to look at ourselves in a reflection, so to speak.

Should I prepare?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to do any preparation for the session.
We do ask that you wear appropriate clothing as the sessions always take place outside.

For example, think of:
 • Closed shoes or boots
 • Waterproof jacket
 • Warm clothing or something you can take off if it gets too hot
